General Data Protection Policy
Jumpup only collects basic personal data about the children signed up for dance classes such as name, address, email, phone number, and date of birth. We also ask for any medical conditions of your child that we need to be aware of to ensure the safety of your child whilst attending our school.
Why jumpup needs you data
We need to know your basic personal data in order to be able to email you with updates on exams, performances, workshops, and current or new class details.
We collect personal data in order to ensure the safety of your child whilst attending Jumpup.
In case of an emergency the teachers will be able to contact you and they will have access to an online register (Membermeister) which includes the students name and a contact telephone number. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need
What Jumpup does with your data
All the personal data we collect is processed in the UK however for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance this information is located on servers within the European Union. No third parties have access to your personal data.
We may share limited personal data with Examination, the RAD and the ISTD as and when your child is entered for examinations. To be able to enter our students we need to create a pin for each candidate and to be able to create the pin we need to input their full name and date of birth. We may also share limited personal data with Local Authorities (BOPA forms required for our show/ performances) or Production Companies where we are required to do so to comply with their safeguarding policies
How long Jumpup keeps your data
We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. Your information we use for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information
How does Jumpup protect your data
Paper forms are kept in a locked cupboard and they are destroyed once entered into our admin system “Membermeister”
Membermeister complies with GDPR legislation and is password protected
What are your rights
If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint on how Jumpup has handled your personal data, you can contact us to have the matter investigated by emailing erna@jumpup.co.uk
If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data not in accordance with the law you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office https://ico.org.uk/
Jumpup cares about the security of your data and your ability to control the communications you receive from us. All of the data we store in our database (Membermeister) is password protected and is kept confidential.
At any time if you wish to receive a copy of information about you that we have in our database, you may request it by emailing us at erna@jumpup.co.uk
Under GDPR you have the right to rectify, erase, restrict processing, or obtain and reuse your personal data for your own purposes across different services
