Carla trained in classical ballet at the Maria Olenewa State School of Dance in Rio de Janeiro – Brazil’s main dance conservatoire (Vaganova style) After graduating with a corps-de-ballet and teaching Diploma, she joined the main company for several seasons of famous ballets including Swan Lake, Eugene Onegin, La Bayadere, and a national tour of The Nutcracker, as well as dancing in Operas, national soap operas and Brazil’s professional Carnival parades. Upon moving to the UK, Carla further developed her skills in teaching other dance styles such as Jazz, Contemporary, Street Dance and Tap.
Carla is a registered with the Royal Academy of Dance as well as with Progressing Ballet Technique, Pilates and IDTA and she is currently on a sabbatical after the recent birth of her son Oliver.
